Yes, I've always been an artist or I guess you could state it more broadly, I have always been creative. Creativity has been my oxygen and way of being that I have embodied. I remember watching Dr. Bunson Honeydew and Beaker on the Muppets and thinking, "I'm going to be a scientist". What I really meant, though, is that I wanted to mix together bubbling, colorful potions in test tubes.
I was once asked by an interviewer which mediums I make art with. My answer was "I'm a mixed media artist". The interviewer replied, "you mean you can't choose"? I said, "yeah, pretty much". The thing is, my desire to create crosses traditional boundaries, glued together with messy, childlike wonder. I love collage, painting, drawing, alt photography, beading, sewing and much more!
Nature, femininity, mysticism and creativity, for it's own sake, are my inspirations. For years I taught self-actualization through artistic processes and I found watching others open to their higher wisdom filled my heart's purpose like nothing else. The power of creative play is unparalelled for shedding the layers of trauma and negativity. It makes pure, healing prescense possible.
